Want to pick roses at sunrise in the mountains of Cyprus? You can do just that at the Agros Rose Festival!

Every May, the village of Agros transforms into a celebration of scent, color, and tradition. At 5:30 a.m., locals and visitors gather to hand-pick the famous damask roses — when their aroma is strongest. It’s a magical moment you’ll never forget. Later, stroll through the village’s lively streets filled with stalls offering rosewater, jams, liqueurs, soaps, and handmade cosmetics — all rose-based! You’ll enjoy traditional Cypriot food like loukoumades, halloumi, palouze, and soak in live music, dancing, and the warmest village vibes. Don’t miss the rose train ride around the area! You can even watch the traditional rose distillation process, passed down through generations. Mark your calendar for next May.
